According to the information from JSC “System Operator UES” consumption of electric energy in the United Energy System of Russia was 1 009, 7 bil. kW/h in 2013 that is 0,6% lower than in 2012

According to the information from JSC “System Operator UES” consumption of electric energy in the United Energy System of Russia was 1 009, 7 bil. kW/h in 2013 that is 0,6% lower than in 2012. Energy consumption in Russia totally in 2013 was 1 031, 2 bil. kW/h that is also 0,6% lower than in 2012.  
Main reasons of cutting down of electric power consumption in 2013 were downfall of consumption by metal industries (consumption by aluminum plants has decreased by more than 5 bil. kW/h since the beginning of the year comparing with 2012) and abnormal warm weather in winter months  last year.
Production of electric energy in Russia in 2013 was 1 044, 9 bil.kW/h that is 0,8% less than in 2012. Power stations of UES Russia produced 1 023,5 bil. kW/h ( 0,8% less than in 2012).
