Ministry of Energy approved the plan of activities to provide energy supply to the peninsula Crimea and development of electric energy UES of the South

“Ministry of Energy approved the plan of activities to provide energy supply to the peninsula Crimea and development of electric energy UES of the South,”- said in the announcement of Ministry of Energy basing on the results of the meeting there. The plan is considered construction of heat power plants operating on gas with total capacity not less than 700 MW with maximum  capacity of  generating unit- not more than 110 MW. The new generating area will be located nearby the existing site of Simferopol TPP and in the area of the city of Sevastopol. The capital investments for realization of the project in the Crimea are approximately 71 bil.rubles. The officials from the Ministry believe that the chosen solution is optimal “basing of the results of comparison of scenarios on capital investments and total discounted expenditures”. It is announced that simultaneously some projects in UES of the South under the scheme and program of development of UES of Russia will be realized  till 2019, i.e. construction of high voltage line 500 kW Kuban-Buzhora( Anapa)  with electric power substation 500kW Buzhora ( Anapa), high voltage line 500 kW Rostov-Buzhora( Anapa) and TPP with capacity of about 600MW on the south-west of Krasnodar region where lack of capacity is forecast.
