Taxes of monopolies in Russia will be frozen in 2014

Taxes of monopolies in Russia will be frozen in 2014. “Freezing of the taxes of natural monopolies in 2014 will be held  in the field of gas and electric nets for all consumers and cargo rail traffic”,- said the Head of Ministry of Economic Development and Trade Alexei Ulukaev basing on the results of meeting with  the President of Russia. He added that in the field of gas and electric nets it’s referred to both industrial consumers and citizens. The issue of cargo rail traffic will be additionally discussed. The Minister marked that in spite of freezing the taxes investment programs of infrastructure monopolies will not be reduced automatically, and explained that the decision about the freezing of taxes for natural monopolies will level the situation caused in recent years when annual grow of their taxes decreased competitiveness of Russian production.
