EnergoFront has put in operation the new drive for heavy mechanism at Ekibastuz GRES-1

Specialists from JSC “EnergoFront” in cooperation with electric machine works CG Electric Systems, Hungary, has successfully finished the first stage of the project on  modernization of electric drives of hammer grinder in  fuel supply section at Ekibastuz GRES-1, Kazakhstan. As a modernized   drive induction electric motor FTC630Hm10 with capacity 1250kW was used. It is the first sample of modified production run of electric motors for extreme service conditions.

Specialists from JSC “EnergoFront” took an active part in all stages of the project including testing at works. Start-up of new hammer grinder МД-21 with new driven electric motor became the final stage of this part of the project. All commissioning and start-up activities were held with direct involvement and under control of service department of JSC “EnergoFront”.

This positive experience of implementation of electric motors produced by CG Electric Systems will be taken into account at replacement of drives at other important mechanisms of the station such as exhausters, pumps, and mills.
