Saint-Petersburg celebrated an event devoted to start-up of gas steam energy unit ПГУ-450 at Pravoberezhnaya TPP. Chairman of the Board JSC “Gasprom” Alexey Miller, Saint-Petersburg Governor Georgy Poltavchenko, Member of the Board JSC “Gasprom” Kirill Seleznev, General Director of JSC “Gasprom Energyholding” Denis Fyodorov, General Director of JSC “TGK-1” Andrey Philippov took part in the event.ПГУ-450 at Pravoberezhnaya TPP is the third ( after ПГУ-450 at Yuzhnaya TPP and two ПГУ-180 at Pervomaiskaya TPP) project of construction of modern energy units based on technology of gas steam cycle, realized by “Gasprom” for recent years in Saint-Petersburg.

Start-up of new energy unit ay Pravoberezhnaya TPP considerably increased reliability and quality of heat supply of south-western districts of the city, provided the stock of electric and heat power for perspective consumers of districts being developed nearby. Besides, new unit decreases the load to electric sub-stations of “energy circle” that increases reliability of energy system of the city.
